Palisade Media Group is an independent music-rights company. We acquire and manage sound recordings, record-label assets, and publishing for catalogs that already earn — or can earn — on digital platforms and collection societies.
We are not a major label and not a collecting society. We buy or exclusively license catalogs, then administer metadata, claims, and collections.
Decisions sit with the people who sign. Diligence is document-led: chain of title, ISRCs/ISWCs, distributor of record, and royalty history.

Acquisition of music rights
We acquire or take exclusive license of:
- Master recordings (phonograms)
- Independent label catalogs
- Musical compositions / publishing
- Related audiovisual where the audio rights are clear
We start from a defined list of works, not “everything you ever made.” Future works are only included if the contract says so in writing.
We treat a close as the start of administration, not the end.
Research and identification
- Catalog matches our mandate (genre is secondary to title and income).
- Quality means clear ownership, not a mood.
- We look at statements, platform IDs, and society registrations before a number.
Due diligence
- Writer/artist IDs and splits
- ISRCs, ISWCs, UPCs
- Exclusive licenses or assignments already in force
- Distributor / CMS owner of record
- Last 24 months of royalties by source
- Liens, prior sales, and CMO mandates
What the transaction process looks like
Term sheet → long-form → funds on signing or against escrow. Territory, term, and which rights (master vs composition vs neighboring) are stated on the first page.
